Julian S. Montañez, Founder & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
As a Hispanic-American, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Arizona, I bring a deep community connection and over 15 years of medical experience to my passion for mental health care. My journey began during undergraduate studies, where I recognized the importance of addressing our shared human condition for healing and resilience.
I serve clients from adolescence through age 60, specializing in psychiatric assessments, medication management, brief solution-focused therapy and emotionally focused therapy for conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorders, and thought disorders. I conduct comprehensive evaluations, prescribe medications using evidence-based guidelines, and develop personalized treatment plans that center your values and needs. I warmly welcome collaboration with your primary care provider and other care team members to support your journey.
Using an integrative, biopsychosocial framework, I empower individuals with tools to monitor symptoms and build lifelong habits for lasting well-being. Founding P’AZ reflects my dedication to fostering trust and transformation, helping you not only manage symptoms but also pursue a life filled with connection, purpose, and joy—whether thriving in relationships, embracing the present, or chasing new aspirations.
Outside my practice, I recharge with family, friends, nature, live music, and great food, fueling my compassionate service to my community. I look forward to partnering with you in a welcoming, supportive space to achieve your mental health goals.
